Well, I’m not going to give a detailed critique. In simple words, I enjoyed watching the Netflix series ‘Blood of Zeus’. It was not a movie. In childhood, I loved the Japanese made ‘Galaxy Express 999’ that had a strange haunting and lyrical quality to it.
As for Blood of Zeus, it’s yet another take on the world of the Greek gods with the classic Zeus vs Hera dynamic taken to an even higher level. I also recently watched ‘Spirited Away’ supposed to be one of the best animated films ever made written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. Despite the beautiful animation and the unique story, I still did not find it that engaging. Blood of Zeus was slow to begin with in the first episode, but post that it really took off for me like reading an action-packed comic. That’s my take on it. Thanks.
