Why didn’t King Henry viii’s son from the third wife become the next king of England but his daughter from second wife became the queen?

The son did become the next king of England. By the second wife, I think you mean Anne Boleyn who Henry VIII executed. His son Edward from his third beloved wife Jane Seymour did become King (Edward VI) but died in a very short time. He was succeeded by Mary, his daughter from the first wife who was a staunch Catholic and is infamous as ‘Bloody Mary.’

The daughter from the second wife Anne, Elizabeth was the most famous one in English history as the harbinger of the Elizabethan age that had noted luminaries like Shakespeare.
