Which Khushwant Singh books have you liked?

By Sunil Kumar

Delhi; a novel.

Although I’ve read many of Khushwant Singh’s books; I liked his vivid, poetical descriptions of the history of the capital in this one.

In his own inimitable style; Singh reflects on the poignancy of time, and the sweep of history in the story of a journalist fallen on bad times(probably based on himself); and the relationship with a hijra(eunuch) named Bhagmati.

Historical facts were interweaved with descriptive writing at its best; with a bit of soul-stirring tadka; in my personal opinion.
